During his visit to Indonesia, the British photographer David Slater, went with a guide to one of the local national parks. In the jungle, Slater met a group of black macaques, which with he spent three days. Animals did not show any aggression, and one of the monkeys was very “advanced”. Interested in his reflection in the lens cameras, which Slater set on a tripod, a monkey grabbed the camera and took a few self-portraits …

A black macaque arranged photo shoot of himself, in fact, proving that modern digital cameras are able to make excellent quality images, even when you’re in the clutches of the ape.

Grabbing the camera, toque begin to grin.He probably for the first time saw himself clearly.

Winner of awards in the animalistic image, 46-year-old David Slater from Britain during his attempts to get his equipment back.
